Tips: May-June 2023

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE:

Greetings,

Who ever knew that turning NINETY could feel so GOOD? I was very proud and honored to be
president of WTTC Baltimore as we celebrated this milestone anniversary together!
On behalf of the organization, I would like to extend our outmost gratitude to the sponsors, guest
speakers, members and friends, and the WTTC of Baltimore’s planning committee. We deeply
appreciate every member of this team for showing a relentless effort in making our 90th Anniversary
Gala so magnificent!
As the club year comes to a close, the celebrations continue. Please join me in congratulating Katrina Jones, the recipient of
our 2023 Person of the Year award! Supporting Marian House, a transitional housing facility for women, is one of the many
acts of service that Katrina shares with love and passion. Our community outreach project will be joining Katrina in her efforts
to support this amazing organization.
Throughout the year, the Refresh Committee has been developing our new website. Our initial launch was June 1, 2023.
Please check it out at http://wttcbaltimore.com/. Irene Scavone, our Refresh Committee chair, has done an amazing job
getting this project completed and will be joining forces with Heather Howard on the next phase of our social media and
website roll out.
To recap this year, our business meetings have had some amazing speakers; our membership drive surpassed our goals; our
annual fundraising event was highly successful; a new website was launched; new friendships and networking opportunities
were created; and we celebrated our 90th Anniversary! WOW – – I’m so grateful for everyone’s support and am confident
the Women’s Traffic and Transportation Club of Baltimore is here to stay for many more years to come.
Please follow us on our Facebook page and our new Linkedln account.

Have a great summer creating new memories full of
kindness and love!

Karen
