Tips: March 2023

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

However, you chose to say it, the important part is “Spring has sprung.” Happy Spring
everyone!
There are so many fun things to do and it is a time to reawaken our love of nature:
plant a spring garden; see the cherry blossoms bloom; enjoy the spring weather at an
outdoor cafe or park, AND ATTEND THE WTTC’s ANNUAL SHRIMP FEAST!
There will be lots of fun, music, dancing, raffles, SHRIMP, friendship, reminiscing, and networking is on the agenda
for this always sold-out event! Tickets are on sale for $50 each at wttcreservations@gmail.com.
As a local not-for-profit organization, we rely upon your financial support! Thank you for your continued support of
The Women’s Traffic and Transportation Club.
March is also the time we celebrate Women’s History Month and recognize our mothers, sisters, daughters,
friends, teachers, bosses, mentors and coaches for their ambition, strength, courage and support.
The words of Audrey Hepburn remind us of – “Nothing is impossible,” the word itself says. ‘I’m possible” –

With appreciation,
Karen

WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH 2023

“From the earliest storytellers through pioneering journalists,
our experiences have been captured by a wide variety of
artists and teachers. These include authors, songwriters,
scholars, playwrights, performers, and grandmothers
throughout time. Women have long been instrumental in
passing on our heritage in word and in print to communicate
the lessons of those who came before us. Women’s stories,
and the larger human story, expand our understanding and
strengthen our connections with each other.
