WTTC Baltimore 2024 Scholarship Program
The 2024 Student Scholarships will be awarded by WTTC to students who are interested in the field of logistics and transportation and who have demonstrated their commitment to their education and to their community. Any student who will be entering or continuing college in the fall of 2024 is eligible.
This year’s essay question is as follows:
The Port of Baltimore has such a rich history and is continuing to grow. Some prime examples are Rukert Terminals celebrating their 100-year anniversary, or Tradepoint Terminals opening up in Sparrows Point, or the CSX Howard Street Tunnel expansion; Baltimore is a busy place!
Please discuss, in a minimum of 250-word essay, something you feel is important regarding the Port of Baltimore. It could be something that needs to be addressed, some significant impact regarding the local community, or some historical significance regarding Baltimore.
In addition to the essay, the student should explain why they are deserving of the WTTC 2024 Scholarship and a description of how the scholarship will assist in their education and ultimate career path.
The application should also include their most recent transcript of studies. The student should also include a letter of recommendation from their current school or employer, and one personal letter of recommendation. If the student is unable to provide both recommendations, the student should explain the reason it is not currently available.
